As I was getting close to retiring from teaching, I was unsure about what was next. One thing I knew with certainty was that I wanted to continue to work with children in a meaningful way.  In both my personal and professional life, I have seen how important positive literacy experiences are for children beginning at a very early age. I have also worked with older children who struggle with reading and I’ve seen how that impacts their learning in all areas of their education.  I decided to come up with a way to provide accessible reading opportunities for parents and caregivers of young children, and to provide them with the resources they need to help their children learn to love words, language, and reading.
